IaH National Conference in the Philippines
26-27 October 2021
The three FRIENDS partner universities in the Philippines, led by the CTU, held online the National Conference on Internationalisation at Home on 26-27 October 2021. Co-hosts of the event were SLU and the UC. With the FRIENDS project overall objective to strengthen the involved Asian universities internationalisation capabilities, and to develop their students’ global competence through the purposeful integration of intercultural dimensions into the universities formal and informal curriculum, the consortium members in the Philippines reached out to higher education policy makers, practitioners and peers through the FRIENDS National Conference on IaH. The event had the theme of “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity in the Internalisation at Home”.
The success of the conference, which was held virtually with more than 2000 attendees from different parts of the Philippines, was also partially due to the speeches of experts on internationalisation from the Philippines, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Hungary. The agenda of the 2-day Conference included topics on diversity, creativity and innovation, and inclusivity. The conference concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the guests speakers who attended. Over the course of the 2-day conference 2399 participants attended the event.
