IAU is a non-profit, state-recognized Foundation university established in 2003. IAU has 12 Faculties, 2 Schools of Higher Education, 3 Vocational Schools of Higher Education, 3 Graduate Institutes and 30+ Application and Research Centers. IAU has 40,000 students, of which 4500 is international, coming from 101 countries. IAU is active in all aspects of internationalization. IAU Directorate for International Relations (DIR) is organized with a view to support different programs and functions with qualified and dedicated staff. DIR has coordinators for academic collaborations, Erasmus+ program, short-term international programs, international marketing and international student and staff support services and Turkish language courses for foreigners. IAU has academic collaboration agreements with higher education institutions around the world and participates actively in the Erasmus+ program. IAU is also a partner to international university networks such as EURAS- Eurasian Universities Union and UNIMED- Mediterranean Universities Union.

Ayse Deniz Ozkan,Vice director at IAU DIR responsible for global education and partnerships. As an international education professional for 14 years, she has worked as Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, managed exchange and international summer programs and led international recruitment efforts at various Turkish universities before joining IAU 5 years ago. After attending numerous professional development workshops and trainings on international education, she now delivers professional training workshops on internationalization strategy. She is also the conference program coordinator for EURIE-Eurasia Higher Education Summit. 

Prof. Hasan Saygin is the senior academic advisor to the IAU Board of Trustees on the implementation of the University Strategic Plan for teaching, learning and research.He has extensive experience in university management, curriculum design, research projects and online education.

Faruk Seferi is the international student mobility and communications specialist at the IAU DIR. Hedelivers support services to international students, organizes international cultural events and international student volunteer projects.
